I recently found an article that said Pope John Paul II is to be beautified this APRIL!!! Why is that so important to us? Well... our son is named after him! A quick tutorial- there is a process in the Catholic Church that some people are brought through after death which leads to Sainthood- called Canonization. First, you are made a "Servant of God" then "Venerable" next "Blessed" and finally "Saint"!! His cause for canonization was started a mere 5 months after his death, which was a special dispensation compared to the 5 years that is normally required.
