Speaking of changing your life...
A great prayer opportunity for Lent will begin this Wednesday at OLQH at about 6:00 (directly after the 5:30pm Mass). It's called the Diving Mercy Novena and it is a wonderful prayer that will take place each Wednesday, same time, same place for 9 Wednesdays, and will end the Wednesday after Easter in order to celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy (the Sunday after Easter). We will be singing the chaplet, there will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament (i.e. praying with Jesus right there on the altar), and it lasts about 30 minutes... just enough time to bring your children (I swear it's not torture- my kids come every year).
Here is a snippet of the prayer...
"Eternal Father, I offer You the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Your dearly Beloved Son our Lord Jesus Christ in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world."
